MBTI Workshop - ICF St. Gallen

Am Samstag war ich in Flumserberg um mit Leitern aus dem ICF St. Gallen ein MBTI Workshop durchzuführen. Es wird mir immer wieder bewusst, dass es so wichtig ist, sich selbst zu kennen, um andere zu verstehen. Mit dem MBTI bekommt man gleich beides. Die Feedbacks nach dem Workshop waren ermutigend.

On Saturday I was in Flumserberg with the leaders from the ICF St. Gallen for an MBTI Workshop. It is so important to know yourself in order to understand others better. With the MBTI Workshop you are getting both. The feedbacks after the Workshop where encouraging.

ICF Tirana, Albania?

Letztes Wochenende kam Altin und Ada Kita aus Tirana, Albanien nach Zürich. Sie haben vor einiger Zeit eine kleine Kirche für junge Menschen in Tirana gestartet. Da sie keine Vorbilder in dieser Region haben, sind sie via Saddleback Church zu uns verwiesen worden. Als sie am Wochenende im ICF Zürich waren sahen sie ein klareres Bild von dem wie wir Kirche leben. Und ich hatte gute Gespräche über unseren ICF Style. Jetzt überlegen sie sich einen neu start mit ICF zu machen. Ich bin gespannt wie sich das entwickeln wird in diesem Teil Europas.
Last weekend Altin and Ada Kita came from Tirana, Albania to Zurich. They have started a wile back a small church for young people in Tirana. Since there are no church models for what they want to do in the region they contacted Saddleback Church and got the tip to contact us. Last weekend they took the chance to see how we live church and felt a bit of our ICF Style. Now they are thinking about restarting with ICF. I am exited to see how things are developing for this part of Europe.

ICF Geneva - a historical day!

Mehr als 100 Volunteers haben den ganzen Summer durch das alte Kino im Zentrum von Genf zu einem Konferenz-, Business- und Kunstzentrum transformiert. Endlich, ICF Genf beendet ihre Nomadenzeit nach 5 Jahren. Wer hätte vor 6 Monaten gedacht, als wir keinen Ort mehr hatten, dass wir am 1. November die „Grand Opening“ in dieser neuen Location feiern werden. Mehr als 1100 Besucher kamen. Die Halle war so voll, dass wir in ein anderen Raum übertragen mussten. Schon 30 min. vor Türöffnung standen die Leute an um einen Platz zu ergattern. Auch wenn alle Teams nach dem Umbau-Marathon schon müde waren, gaben sie ihr bestes für diesen Tag. Nach einem „hard-beat“ countdown ... die erste Geige fängt an zu spielen, dann die zweite und dritte ... Hochspannung war in der Luft und die Gegenwart Gottes spürbar. Dann kamen alle Musiker auf die Bühne und spielten „Bittersweet Symphony“ zu einem Video mit allen Locations wo das ICF überall schon war in Genf.
Ein historischer Tag für uns alle und ein Anfang für etwas Grösseres. Danke an alle, welche uns unterstützt haben, dass dieser Traum Realität wurde. Videos

More than 100 volunteers worked all summer to make it happened, renovate & transform an old cinema into a conference, business & art center.
Finally, ICF Geneva settled down in the center of the city after 5 years of nomadism. Who would have thought that 6 months ago when we had no more place to go?
On November 1st, ICF Geneva celebrated his "Grand Opening" in his new "hype" place. More than 1100 people showed up. The celebration hall was so packed in the night that we had to project the show -live- into another room, people queuing 30 minutes before to get a seat! Even if the church was tired after the summer marathon, all the teams gave their best again for that day. A “hard-beat” countdown ... then the first violin started, then the second one and the third... all playing in the public. You could feel the tension and the presence of God. Then all musicians from the stage started "bittersweet symphony" and a video of Geneva with a light was showing all the places where we, as a church, have been...

Ladies' Lounge 2009 - first impressions

Neuer Rekord! 898 Frauen nahmen an dieser Ladies’ Lounge in Zürich teil. Gegen 200 Mitarbeiter haben diesen Event zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Ich durfte mit Leo Bigger und Michael Sieber hinter der Cafe-Bar viele Frauen glücklich machen und Latte Macchiato, Cappuccino und Espresso servieren.

New Record! 898 Women where part of this years Ladies’ lounge in Zurich. Around 200 helpers made this event into an unforgettable experience for all the ladies. I was able to serve with Leo Bigger and Michael Sieber at the Café-Bar and we made many women happy with Latte Macchiato, Cappuccino’s and Espresso!
