A post from Björn Schäfer
Currently me an my family are having a 2 months timeout in the US to visit family and friends and get ready for our move to ICF Zurich. Since we´re here already, I visited lifechurch.tv in Oklahoma City to learn about Leadership Development, Multitsite and Online Church. Watch this post to get a picture of what they are doing. In a few days I´ll post a follow-up on how their Online Church works. You can watch me online doing the Welcome for their online experience from Jan 1-7 2011: http://live.lifechurch.tv/
Enjoy your time off with Family and Friends and I wish you a happy new year 2011 full of new adventures with God!

ICF Geneva - Lausanne - Nyon
Post by Matthias Bölsterli
Achterbahn.
Unsere Zahlenmässigen Prognosen Für 2011:
Genf: 700
Lausanne: 320
Nyon: 80
Total: 1100
Connect Groups: 50
Budget: 105'000 CHF/Monat
Wird ein geiles Jahr !

ICF BERN SINGLE “DI A MIRE SITE” (Your are by my side)
> available in the iTunes store

Worship from the church for the church!
With this motto in mind we decided to create our second ICF Bern worship CD. The work on the worship CD 2011 is in full process. From 34 songs the best 13 were chosen to be put in the album which is now being made. We are rehearsing, trying out things, discussing, rejecting ideas, trying new things and recording the newest version of the song at the end of the rehearsal. In this manner, the songs are maturing step by step to their final version.
End of January, beginning of February 2011 we are going to the studio where the final versions of the songs will be recorded. You can look forward to hearing wonderful worship songs!
If you would like to follow this CD project the ICF Bern Music Facebook page is there to give you information: www.facebook.com/icfbernmusic

What should be consider before asking for money ?
Budget: this word can sound negative or positive to your mind. Even if you don’t really like it, make it your friend, he will help you a lot.
“Your dream church journal is the foundation for your calendar and budget” R. Moore
2 different budgets:
- Opportunity budget: this budget include all events, meetings as investment like multimedia, technics, chairs and promotion
- Operation budget: This is the planification for regular fees as: salary, rental, administration fees, telephone, …
With that you can check your priorities and try to generate less operational costs as possible.
You can keep Costs down:
Don’t do the mistake to invest a lot in not really needed spaces. As best example, office is not really important. Use technology, phone and laptop to plan your schedule and you will find a place for face-to-face meeting. Prefer investing in advertising and technology as office.
Your budget is a “found-raising” tool
Budget is a calendar within financial and planned event. He is not a bad human tool, but he will help you to structure and detail all your needs. Read and proofread it with your core team.
“Treat it as a living document until it becomes finalized” R.Moore
Communicate and search :
Use your document and talk about you precise needs wherever you go. Don’t hesitate to communicate and to repeat your vision and all financial needs who are coming with wherever you go.
You can probably receive money from five principal sources:
1. Your parent church
2. Your denomination
3. The core team
4. Personal acquaintances, incl. family and friends
5. The new congregation
Devise a found raising plan :
Use a good budget for the starting your church. It will also be more important for your “investor”.
Your mother church will probably support you in a material way, but write down your exact needs (sounds system, video projector, bar,…)
The second things is the support from the core team. These future leaders must pay their tithes a few months in advance, this will bring reality in a dream, a concrete support from the heart.
After the first celebration, try to really decrease the orginial extern support (f.e. mother church) to be more independent.
“As Church planter, you need to pray and you need to teach people to give and to be careful stewards of their money” R. Moore.

ICF Tirana - Update
This has been a year full of challenges and God's blessings and we are rejoicing as we see Him growing our team in numbers and spiritually.
Before the Big Bang (launching day) we are planning to have five events, two evangelistic concerts and three previews. On 24th of october we had our first evangelistic concert, every person in our team invited their friends. 110 people and 70 of them were not believers and all of them showed a spiritual interest. That was our first "mini" success for our team.

Team: who will partner with you?
To plant a church, the team building is not an option. You need a strong and powerful team as Jesus and Paul started the first church planting in the world. Here are some tips for starting this process:
Pray with close friends
Stay focus on good friends and pray with them. They can give you the good feedback and you will listen to them.
